Note: This post applies to those with tax declarations donating from Sweden.
Now all Nordisk Hjälp donors can donate more, without it being more expensive. Instead you get this money back from a tax reduction. Individuals can get 25% of the gift amount back when they donate money to the work Nordisk Hjälp does. If you are a child sponsor, or a monthly donor, or just want to donate a single amount, you can increase your amount without it costing more. For example, if you increase the gift amount per month from SEK 300 to SEK 400, the cost will amount to the same as before. This extra hundred crowns goes to Nordisk Hjälp’s emergency relief efforts, developmental projects and the operation of the local offices in Palestine and Lebanon. The donor can of course also specify special requests or purposes.
The possibility of a tax refund applies to gift amounts between 2,000 SEK and 6,000 SEK each year.
As a donor, you only need to notify Nordisk Hjälp that you wish to receive a tax refund, and we will take care of the rest. The Tax Agency then reports the sum in your tax declaration statement.
