Where We Meet – From Gaza to Möllevångstorget

August 31–September 2, 2026 | Panora, Friisgatan 19 D, Malmö | Monday–Wednesday, 4:00 p.m.–8:00 p.m. | Free admission

With support from the Swedish Postcode Lottery Foundation, Nordisk Hjälp invites you to “Where We Meet—From Gaza to Möllevångstorget, an art exhibition where visitors can view paintings created by fatherless children from Gaza.

For three days, Panora in Malmö is transformed into a space for art, storytelling, and human connection. Here, children’s own expressions take center stage, offering a glimpse into their daily lives, thoughts, dreams, and hopes.

Behind every painting is a child and a story.

From art therapy in Cairo to an art exhibition in Malmö

As part of the project, the organization “ Nordisk Hjälp ” has conducted art therapy with fatherless children from Gaza who are now in Cairo.

Through color, form, and creativity, the children have found a safe space where they can express their feelings, thoughts, and experiences in their own way. The result is a collection of personal works of art that will now continue their journey—from the children’s hands in Cairo to an exhibition in the heart of Malmö.

During “Where We Meet,” you’ll have the opportunity to view the paintings and get a closer look at the stories behind them. Through art, a connection is forged between people who are far apart—from Gaza, through Cairo, all the way to Möllevångstorget.

Bid on the children's art

During the exhibition, visitors will also have the opportunity to bid on the paintings created by the children themselves.

The proceeds from the auction will go toward Nordisk Hjälps ’s work on behalf of children in Gaza. In this way, the artworks can continue their journey while also contributing to our humanitarian work for children and families living under extremely difficult conditions.

Perhaps one of these paintings will be the one you take home—while your contribution makes a difference somewhere else.

Food, snacks, and fellowship

“Where We Meet” isn’t just about art. As the name suggests, it’s about coming together.

During the exhibition, visitors will have the opportunity to buy food, snacks, and coffee, sit down for a while, and socialize.

We want to create a place where people can pause, meet, and talk—a place where art and stories bring people closer together, and where the distance between Malmö and Gaza can feel a little shorter, if only for a moment.

Everyone is welcome!
