On June 30, 2026, Nordisk Hjälps was closed because the mandatory report to Svensk Insamlingskontroll had not been submitted by the deadline, despite reminders.
It is important for us to be transparent about what this does and does not entail.
The decision concerns administrative shortcomings in the organization’s reporting processes and does not relate to how the funds raised have been used or managed. Nordisk Hjälps work and our ongoing efforts are therefore not affected by this change.
Our mission to support children in humanitarian crises and those who have been displaced remains unchanged, and our work continues as usual.
We take this incident seriously and are therefore actively working to strengthen the organization’s internal structure and procedures. As part of this effort, we are establishing a new board of directors and a finance team to ensure clear processes, a clear division of responsibilities, and effective follow-up going forward, so that similar situations cannot occur again.
Early next year, Nordisk Hjälp apply for a new 90 account.
We would like to thank our donors, partners, and followers for your continued trust and support. Your commitment enables us to continue our work on behalf of children and families living in some of the world’s most vulnerable situations.
