Starting the 1st of January 2026, new tax rules will apply in Sweden that will enable companies to receive tax reductions for monetary donations to approved non-profit organizations.
Nordisk Hjälp has been approved by the Swedish Tax Agency as a recipient of donations as of the 11th of February, 2026.
This means that companies that donate money to Nordisk Hjälp are entitled to a tax reduction under the current law, provided that the conditions of the law are met. The tax reduction applies to the company's corporate tax and is applied for via the company's income tax return.
Important information
• Applies only to monetary gifts
• The gift must amount to at least SEK 2,000 per occasion
• The tax reduction applies to corporate tax
• The company is responsible for applying for the tax reduction in its tax return
This new legislation means that it is now even easier and more advantageous for companies to contribute to our work. For us however, the most important thing is long-term cooperation and shared responsibility for children and women living in humanitarian crises and as refugees.
